Audi of America unveiled new enhancements to Audi Themes, expanding the way customers can personalize their in-vehicle experience. The feature includes access to a growing catalog of curated digital themes and the introduction of Personal Themes, an option that allows eligible customers to create custom themes using their own photos.
The Audi Themes digital personalization offering enhances the visual appearance of compatible vehicle infotainment displays and, where equipped, interior lighting. It does not alter vehicle performance, driving characteristics, safety-enhancing features or core infotainment functionality, according to a company press release.
“Audi Themes enhances the in-vehicle experience by combining display backgrounds for the center and passenger displays with coordinated interior lighting colors, where equipped,” the release states. “With a wide range of existing designs and additional new content planned throughout the year, Audi Themes gives customers additional opportunities to make their Audi a reflection of their individual style and life.”
Since its U.S. debut in 2023, the Audi Themes library has expanded from fewer than 50 designs to more than 340 curated experiences. The collection includes landscapes, travel-inspired imagery, abstract artwork, seasonal content and special event designs, with additional content updates planned throughout the year.
New Personal Themes Capability
Audi Themes initially allowed single purchases for individual themes, selected from a library of available options. Customers can now unlock the complete Audi Themes catalog, including future content additions, through a paid annual subscription available via the myAudi Marketplace.
A key feature of the new Audi Themes experience is the introduction of Personal Themes, allowing users to transform their favorite personal photos into customized digital themes that can be displayed within their compatible vehicles, officials say.
“Whether showcasing family moments, a beloved pet, favorite vacation memories or even a cherished Audi model, Personal Themes offers an additional way for customers to personalize and enhance their in-vehicle experience,” according to the release.
Personal themes can be created directly through the myAudi app by following simple on-screen prompts. Customers can maintain up to three personal themes at a time and can create new ones by deleting an existing option.
Personal themes are linked to a customer’s myAudi account and remain associated with that user profile across compatible vehicles, the company adds. Personal Themes is available only while customers are signed in with an active myAudi account and will be removed from the vehicle if the user logs out or no longer maintains active Audi Themes access.
For existing customers who have previously purchased individual Audi Themes, those themes will remain associated with their vehicle and continue to be available without the need for annual Audi Themes access.
