The E3 contingency program for NHRA went into effect for the 50th Annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals March 14-17 at Gainesville Raceway in Florida. The 2019 NHRA Mellow Yellow Drag Racing series features 24 sanctioned events.
Winners running select E3 products will receive $300, while runners-up receive $100. Contingency will be paid at all NHRA Mellow Yellow Drag Racing Series events as well as the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events and the JEGS All Stars events. Eligible classes include Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Gas, Super Comp, Super Street, Top Sportsman, and Top Dragster.
“E3 has had a long-standing relationship with NHRA and over the years this program has helped sell a lot of spark plugs at over 25,000 retail outlets,” said Rob Fisher, E3 vice president of motorsports. “Now that we have a full line of racing plugs and ignition products, it was the right time to begin a comprehensive contingency program that targets the sportsman racer, who is the backbone of the NHRA. We are excited to kickoff this contingency program during such a momentous occasion as the 50th Annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.”
