Dom Sandri, director of marketing for Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) and DV8 Offroad’s lead CAD designer, Ryan Winner, recently joined Jeepin’ Terry, Break-It Billy and Jetty Jason on the latest episode of “The Jeep Life Podcast: DV8 on the Pod.”

The episode dives into DV8’s R&D trips, popular product lines and newest endeavors, as well as the unique Jeep culture prevalent in the U.S.

Sandri, Winner and the hosts start by discussing popular Jeep trails and DV8’s content/R&D trips. Sandri explains the importance of the trips for connecting with the off-road community and testing the durability/functionality of product designs.

Later in the episode, Winner goes into detail about DV8’s extensive process of developing new and legacy products.

“We really, especially DV8, love listening to our customer feedback,” he says. “We have a lot of guys that are part of groups that we use to R&D our parts.”

Such feedback led to the company revamping legacy parts to make them stronger, lighter and easier to install with better fitment and an enhanced powder-coat.

The discussion later shifts to some of DV8’s top product offerings, including steel pocket MOLLE panels, inner fenders, and the company’s color-matching opportunities. It’s revealed that bumpers for different subsets of avid off-road adventurers are being developed.

“We also look at it (bumper design/styling) from a geographical kind of standpoint,” says Winner. “You have a lot of West Coast guys out there that love crawling, but you have a lot of desert guys too that might not want a winch. So, we try to cater to everybody in the operating industry.”

The Jeep Life” podcast dives into everything Jeep, off-road and overland, and is available on all popular podcast platforms.
