Dodge is celebrating production of the 2026 Dodge Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition, which is rolling off the line at Detroit Assembly Complex – Jefferson (DAC-J), company officials stated in a press release.
“Dealer orders for the 2026 Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition sold out in just six hours, proving enthusiasts are eager for the return of legendary 392 HEMI V-8 power in a three-row muscle SUV,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “With standard HEMI power and all-wheel drive across the lineup, plus best-in-class 8,700 pounds of standard towing on the Durango R/T 392, owners don’t have to choose between performance and capability; they get both. The Durango R/T 392 is another example of Dodge delivering the power, utility and excitement our customers expect every time they get behind the wheel.”
The 2026 Dodge Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition marks the first time the 392-cubic-inch HEMI V-8 engine is standard on the Durango R/T. Delivering 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, the three-row SUV brings SRT levels of performance to the Durango R/T, accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, while maintaining the utility and versatility that have defined the Durango nameplate for decades, noted the release.

The Dodge Durango lineup is the only three-row SUV with HEMI V-8 power across the full lineup, which, in addition to the Durango R/T 392, includes the Durango GT HEMI and the 710-horsepower Durango SRT Hellcat and Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.
The DAC-J facility currently builds the entire Durango lineup alongside the Jeep Grand Cherokee, making it one of only three North American assembly plants to produce multiple vehicle models on the same assembly line, the company said.
