DEI to Appear at Columbus Goodguys Show

Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) will be appearing at the Goodguys 24th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, the company announced.

Set for July 8-10 at the Ohio Expo Center, the show includes over 6,500 rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trucks, plus a nitro dragster exhibition, swap meet, autocross and burnout competition, show organizers said. The Goodguys 2022 Street Machine of the Year and 2022 Street Rod of the Year will also be crowned.

“We’ve been making the trip to the Goodguys event in Columbus for more than a decade now and it never disappoints,” said Steve Garrett of DEI. “The great people and great cars make it a can’t-miss event, and we’re thrilled to help promote the collector car hobby in all its forms, right in our own backyard.”

The Design Engineering, Inc. booth in the Bricker Building at the show will feature a customized 1972 Chevrolet pickup, built by Brian Downard of Lokar, with the interior removed to highlight DEI’s custom cut C10-specific damping and insulation kits.

“We are excited to be participating in shows again and having the honor to be in DEI’s booth at a big show like Goodguys Columbus is going to be really cool,” Downard said. “I have used DEI in several cars we have built over the years and not only love the high-quality of the products, but how they work to solve heat and sound issues. I am lucky to be associated with a great company like DEI. We can’t wait to get to Columbus.”
