A limited-edition C8 Corvette recognizing the 60th Anniversary of Cunningham Automotive’s win at the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans will be given away in a sweepstakes to benefit the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF), the organization announced.
Officially recognized as a Cunningham 60th Anniversary C8 Corvette, just 60 are being hand-built by Cunningham Automotive, one of which has been earmarked for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation as a sweepstakes car. The commemorative car will make its debut May 20-23 at the Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance.
Powered by a 600-horsepower Lingenfelter Performance engine, it comes complete with a high flow carbon fiber performance designed intake manifold, high flow Corsa headers, an exhaust and airbox tuned by Lingenfelter, HRE forged aluminum wheels, Michelin tires, a Peter Stevens designed aero kit, Cunningham/MOV’IT performance brakes and more. The winner will also be given a commemorative model of the car.
“I’m very excited to see this car in person for the first time,” said Lance Miller, CMAF president, who will be representing the organization at Amelia Island. “I am confident that it will turn heads as it prominently sits on display surrounded by blue-blood brands like Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Ferrari, Cord and more.”
“When you come to the foundation table, I look forward to talking with you about amyloidosis, the horrible disease that took my best friend and dad, Chip Miller, from us in 2004,” said Miller. “I am also looking forward to your support by way of this sweepstakes. Entries range from 12 tickets for $25 to 2,800 tickets for $2,500 and many more options in between.”
The sweepstakes is just one of many ways to support the CMAF, the organization said. Upcoming CMAF events include Corvettes for Chip, June 25-26 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and a day of surfing, sliding and culinary excellence on July 30 in Ocean City, New Jersey. There’s also a charity dinner planned for August 28 in Carlisle as part of the annual Corvettes at Carlisle car show.
