Covercraft Industries has acquired of Carver Industries, which produces custom covers for the marine industry.
Carver Industries, based in South Carolina, produces a wide array of boat covers, bimini tops, canoe and kayak covers as well as various ATV and UTV covers. Carver’s products are currently available through local marine dealers and internet retailers with distribution throughout the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.
“We’re excited to be joining the Covercraft family and bringing Carver’s high-quality marine products to their customer base,” said John Kelaher, former owner of Carver Industries and new vice president of Marine Products at Covercraft.
This latest acquisition places Covercraft squarely in the marine industry, leveraging the company’s expansion in the outdoor market with its previous acquisitions of ADCO, GT Covers and Marathon Seat Covers.
“Carver expands our authority as the protection leader into the marine industry and firmly places Covercraft in a category of one in aftermarket protection products for vehicles of all types,” said Mark Korros, president and CEO of Covercraft Industries.
Carver Industries is the fourth company to join Covercraft’s ever-increasing family of vehicle protection products since Covercraft partnered with Century Park Capital Partners in 2015.
“Carver not only offers us access to the marine custom cover market, which is largely a stable, replacement business, but also provides counter-seasonal production capacity for our core automotive cover offerings,” said Guy Zaczepinski, chairman of Covercraft. “We are fortunate to have yet another high-quality, established brand join our growing vehicle protection family.”
