Chevrolet will expand the brand’s ZR2 trim to the Silverado, the company confirmed.

The ZR2 trim relaunched on the Colorado mid-size pickup in 2017, and since then, ZR2 has offered high-performance capability both on- and off-road, the company said.

While details of the Silverado’s package have yet to be revealed, the ZR2 trim for the Colorado features Multimatic DSSVTM position-sensitive dampers, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials, 2-inch suspension lift, 3.5-inch wider track, off-road rocker protection, cast-iron control arms, an Autotrac transfer case, multiple skid plates and standard red tow hooks.
