Carvana announced plans to bring Inspection and Reconditioning Center (IRC) capabilities to both its existing ADESA Golden Gate and ADESA Dallas wholesale auction sites. This move increases Carvana’s national reconditioning capacity and enhances its offerings for both retail and wholesale customers in the two regions, company officials stated in a press release.
ADESA Golden Gate Wholesale Auction Site
Located in Tracy, California, ADESA Golden Gate has served wholesale customers for more than five decades. The more than 150-acre site with nearly 25,000 parking spaces offers substantial infrastructure to support Carvana IRC operations alongside ADESA’s ongoing wholesale auction services. As part of this move, Carvana has already begun hiring in the area and expects to create approximately 100 new jobs across entry-level and skilled roles in inspection, reconditioning and fulfillment over time.
“Bringing IRC capabilities to ADESA Golden Gate not only strengthens Carvana’s nationwide network but also drives specific benefits for our retail and wholesale customers in the region,” said Brian Boyd, senior vice president of inventory at Carvana. “We are excited to unlock faster delivery options for local car buyers and a more comprehensive offering for our wholesale auction customers while building our team and presence in Northern California.”
With this integration, Carvana is expanding its total reconditioning capacity and establishing a new pool of retail inventory in the Bay Area, supporting faster delivery times for local customers. Wholesale customers will benefit from enhanced on-site capabilities alongside the full functionality of ADESA’s in-lane and digital auction platforms.
ADESA Dallas Wholesale Auction Site
Last month, Carvana announced plans to bring Inspection and Reconditioning Center (IRC) capabilities to its existing ADESA Dallas wholesale auction site, creating a new pool of retail inventory in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Located in Hutchins, Texas, ADESA Dallas has served wholesale auto auction customers for more than three decades. This site has 100 acres, more than 15,000 parking spaces and will create approximately 150 new jobs.
“Adding IRC capabilities at ADESA Dallas deepens our presence in North Texas, bringing more selection and faster delivery options to local retail customers and more robust auction services to our wholesale partners,” said Boyd. “We’re proud to strengthen our customer offering and continue building our team in the Dallas area.”
With IRC capabilities at ADESA Dallas, Carvana is increasing its total reconditioning capacity and optimizing its fulfillment network by creating a new pool of retail inventory in the Dallas area. This will expand the selection of vehicles available for as-soon-as same-day delivery, enhancing an offering already available to Dallas–Fort Worth customers. As with the Golden Gate site, wholesale customers will also benefit from enhanced on-site services while continuing to access the full functionality of ADESA’s in-lane and digital auction platforms.
Both the Golden Gate and Dallas sites’ efficient transition to an IRC-enabled facility is supported by Carvana’s proprietary software platform, CARLI, which drives operational consistency and scale across the company’s national reconditioning network, noted the release.
