Following the reveal of BMW’s Skytop concept in May, a new report from Car & Driver confirms the model will see a full production run. The custom M8 competition was revealed at Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza with a rumored price around $542,000.
Alongside the confirmation of a production run, BMW stated the full production would be just 50 units worldwide. The new model will utilize the M8’s 4.4L V8 with all wheel drive and an 8 speed automatic transmission.
The confirmation also included the news that every example will be finished in the concept color, which BMW refers to as Floating Sundown Silver. The interiors will feature a brown leather with a crystal gear selector.
