Craton features a wide selection of gear from the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) along with many other prominent racing brands such as the IMSA WeatherTech Championship Series, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Sebring International Raceway and more, as well as several motorsport teams like Riley Motorsports No. 74 and Wayne Taylor Racing, the company said. The Austin Hatcher Foundation has been involved with motor sports and road-racing since the nonprofit’s beginning in 2006, and has been an official charity of IMSA since 2014.
“I am thrilled to announce that the Austin Hatcher Foundation has been named the ‘Official Charity’ of our company,” said President of Craton Promotions, Geoff Lee. “I have followed and supported the charity since its inception and had the chance to see first-hand the effects they have on young patients and their families. What Jim and Amy Jo Osborn have created is truly valuable and inspiring on every level. We are proud to associate ourselves with the Foundation’s charitable efforts in Motorsports and believe that their mission to support children and families affected by pediatric cancer is truly inspirational. We look forward to working closely with the Austin Hatcher Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for their important cause.”
The Austin Hatcher Foundation’s partnership with Craton Promotions will allow for anyone purchasing products on the official IMSA and Micheline Raceway Road Atlanta Store to be given the opportunity to make a donation to the Foundation, the organizations said. The Austin Hatcher Foundation will also be given a combined space in Craton’s official merchandise tent at three major IMSA racing events: Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, IMSA Sportscar Weekend at Road America and Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Austin Hatcher Foundation officials said.
“We are thrilled about the opportunities this partnership will bring the Foundation,” said Amy Jo Osborn, CEO and co-founder of the Austin Hatcher Foundation. “This partnership with Craton Promotions will not only bring donations that will help us expand our services, but it also helps us raise brand awareness about who we are.”
The Tennessee-based nonprofit offers its services through its Diversionary Therapy program, where Austin Hatcher Foundation staff, often accompanied by racecar drivers, visit various children’s hospitals across the country, typically in the cities where IMSA race weekends are scheduled. Continuing with the connection to racing, another one of the Foundation’s services is Industrial Arts Therapy, which features fabrication of objects in wood or metal using a variety of tools, engine repair and automobile maintenance programs.
