American Race Cars has been named the Official Car Builder of Summit Motorsports Park for 2019.
American Race Cars was started in 2004 by Mark Horton, a former IHRA Super Rod champion, and Travis Colangelo, a multi-time bracket winner, and is based in Port Clinton, Ohio.
A fixture in the chassis-building business, the company is well-known for fabricating durable and dependable dragsters for Sportsman racers across the country, according to a press release.
“American Race Cars and Summit Motorsports Park have a long history together, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome the company as the Official Car Builder of Summit Motorsports Park for 2019,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “We share the same commitment to customer service and the same passion for motorsports, and that makes this a prime partnership.”
At Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, reigning Edelbrock Super Pro champion Steven Schmidt and drivers Eric Manuel, Chris Bear and Randy Scheuer Jr. are among those who pilot American Race Cars-built dragsters.
American Race Cars will be featured on signage and displays throughout the facility.
