The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) has announced the election of Tom Rafferty to its board of trustees. Rafferty brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the industry, having spent decades in leadership and service roles within the aftermarket community, according to the foundation.
“Tom has been a longtime supporter of the AACF and a respected leader in the automotive aftermarket industry,” said John Kairys, AACF executive director. “His commitment to giving back and his deep understanding of the challenges facing our industry make him an invaluable addition to our Board of Trustees.”
In August of 2016, Rafferty joined EnerSys/Odyssey Batteries as senior national sales manager, where his exceptional sales performance earned him two Manager of the Year awards. He continues to contribute to the company in a part-time sales role. Rafferty earned a BBA degree from Western Illinois University, and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Board of Trustees of the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation. It’s time to give back to the industry that I have worked in most of my career. I’m looking forward to working with the AACF in assisting individuals and families in this great industry that are facing unexpected financial hardships,” said Rafferty.
His passion for serving the industry extends beyond his professional career. He has served on the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) board of governors and executive committee, the Automotive Sales Council Board of Directors, and is a past chairman of both the AWDA Manufacturers Advisory Council and the Auto Care Association Marketing communications committee.
