2021-2024 Ford Bronco Sport SUV/Maverick

Vehicles Affected: Ford is recalling more than 450,000 vehicles, including model-year 2021-2024 Bronco Sport SUVs and 2022-2023 Maverick pickup trucks.

The Problem: The body and powertrain control modules may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery charge, which could result in a loss of electrical accessories or drive power, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will recalibrate the body and powertrain control modules for free, as necessary. The automaker will notify vehicle owners starting May 13th.

2022-2024 Ford Maverick

Vehicles Affected: Ford is recalling another 243,000 model-year 2022-2024 Maverick pickup trucks.

The Problem: According to the automaker, the vehicle’s body control module may turn off one or both of the rear lights while the vehicle is in use, thereby reducing the vehicle’s visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will update the BCM software for free, as necessary. Ford will notify owners starting May 20th.

2020-2024 Honda Ridgeline

Vehicles Affected: Honda is recalling approximately 187,000 model-year 2020-2024 Ridgeline pickup trucks.

The Problem: The automaker says, in low temperatures where road salt is present, the electrical wiring in the rearview camera tailgate wire harness is susceptible to breaking due to water freezing and thawing within the wiring’s insulation as the tailgate opens and closes repeatedly. Failure to display the rearview camera image can result in increased risk of a collision. Honda warns drivers to be aware of the tailgate locking function and alarm system malfunctioning before such an event occurs.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the rearview camera tailgate wire harness for free, as necessary. Honda will notify owners starting July 1st.

2022-2023 Genesis G80s/G90s/GV70s/GV80s

Vehicles Affected: Genesis is expanding a previous recall from September to include more than 31,400 vehicles, including model-year 2022-2023 G80s, G90s, GV70s and GV80s.

The Problem: The automaker says impellers in the low-pressure fuel-pump assembly may not meet certain material specifications, which can lead to deformation in certain environments (such as high temperatures) and cause the fuel pump to shut down. As a result, this could restrict fuel flow to the engine, leading to a sudden reduction in motive power. Genesis advises drivers to be aware of engine stumbling and hesitation, as well as a rough idle.

The Fix: As a remedy, dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump assembly for free, as necessary. Parent company Hyundai will notify vehicle owners starting June 18th.

2024 Tesla Cybertruck

Vehicles Affected: Tesla is recalling more than 3,800 model-year 2024 Cybertrucks.

The Problem: According to the automaker, when high force is applied to the pad on the accelerator pedal, it may dislodge and the pedal may become trapped in the interior trim above it. As such, this could impact its performance and operation, or increase the risk of a collision. Please note: application of the brake pedal will still bring the vehicle to a stop, and the driver will receive audible and visual alerts that both the brake and accelerator pedals are pressed.

The Fix: Tesla will replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly for free, as necessary. Tesla will notify vehicle owners in June.

2023-2024 Prius and Prius Prime

Vehicles Affected: Toyota is recalling approximately 211,000 vehicles, including model-year 2023-2024 Prius and Prius Prime.

The Problem: The automaker says water can enter and short-circuit the electronic rear door latches in affected vehicles. If the rear doors are unlocked, they could open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion or in the event of a crash, thereby increasing the risk of injury to passengers.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the rear door-opener switches for free, as necessary. Until then, Toyota recommends vehicle owners activate the feature that automatically locks the doors when shifting from Park to prevent the door from opening in the case of a short circuit. Toyota will notify vehicle owners by early June.
