Bucks 4×4 is building a lot more than Jeeps, trucks and off-roaders these days. The Idaho shop is also building top industry talent in collaboration with a local aftermarket nonprofit called Rebuilding Generations.

“I grew up with a wrench in my hands, and I loved it,” said Jeff Buck, owner of the family-owned off-road shop founded in 1966. “When I met Kevin Keep of Rebuilding Generations, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of this youth ministry.”

THE VISION

Founded in 2013 by Kevin and Jenny Keep with the support of Lynn Hawkins and Joseph Callahan, Rebuilding Generations pairs seasoned auto mechanics, builders, fabricators and welders with youth (aged seven years and up) to learn hands-on skills while working on project vehicles.

“There are so many experienced automotive pros in our industry, and they have a wealth of experience to share with youth,” said Kevin Keep. “RG kids are mentored and guided by pros that share all the tricks of the trade and, of course, industry passion. And, that’s the stuff that’s going to keep our industry alive 10 years from now.”

Shops like Bucks 4×4 (bucks4x4.com) partner with RG alongside industry product manufacturers to help provide the space, tools, equipment and know-how for successful projects.
