E.C.D. Automotive Design Introduces Project Fortuna

E.C.D. Auto Design (ECD) recently introduced its latest build, Project Fortuna – an authentic 1972 Land Rover Series III powered by a 430-hp LS3 engine.

“One of the more rewarding things about ECD is the rare opportunity to work with clients several times to create these beautiful, one-of-one builds. This client originally worked with us on a custom NAS build three years ago, and we were delighted to bring his new Series III dreams to life,” said Tom Humble, CXO and co-founder of ECD.

Imported from Costa Rica, this custom Land Rover Series III combines a classic Tuscan Blue Range Rover finish with a contrasting cream roof and wheels. The vintage Land Rover, heading to a new Florida home, is upgraded to take on old-fashioned brick roads with a BFGoodrich trail tires and modern-day suspension. The build also features the original roof rack and ladder from 1972, fully refurbished in-house by ECD’s master craftsmen, and traditional swing-away tire carrier.

Project Fortuna features a manual “Eight Ball” shifter and extends the exterior blue into the interior, with custom Raptor lined flooring color-matched to Tuscan Blue, bench seats wrapped in tan leather in the front and four matching tan jump seats in the back. The build is equipped with a Sony Premium stereo and Kenwood compact subwoofer.
