Race engine and chassis manufacturer Zytek Engineering Ltd., Repton, U.K., has signed a three-year agreement with high-performance and competition lubricant specialist Motul.
“We’re delighted to be working with Motul, a company with a very strong heritage and which has successfully taken part in many championships. We have used many different lubricants in the past, across the different series for which we provide engines, and have been very impressed with the performance Motul’s oils showed,” said John Manchester, operations director of Zytek Engineering, in a company press release.
Motul will work closely with Zytek to develop engines and supply oil for its engine test facility, and facilitate workshop consumables and on-track technical support. Motul will also provide recommended oils for Zytek’s successful Nissan VK45DE LMP2 power unit from Nismo, Nissan’s motorsports arm, the release noted.
Motul already established a strong relationship with Zytek through technical partnerships with two of its major customers-Greaves Motorsport and Joto Sport. Both teams will be beneficiaries of the extended relationship between Zytek, Nismo and Motul, according to the companies.
