The California Air Resources Board has approved Volant Performance’s application for exemption of the company’s cool air intake systems it manufactures for gasoline engines.
Volant was issued an executive order, finding that its cool air intake systems do not reduce the effectiveness of the applicable vehicle pollution control systems, and are therefore exempt from the prohibitions listed in Section 27156 of the California Vehicle Code, according to a press release.
“We’re extremely happy to receive this executive order from CARB,” said Tony Quezada, Volant CEO. “This offers our customers additional knowledge that the products we design are the most innovative, highest in quality and provide real-world performance gains they can depend on.”
Volant will include a label with the EO number printed on it for every corresponding air intake system it manufactures and sells.
