Aug 10, 2012

The United Application Standards Group (UASG), this year has chosen the Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 SEMA Show in Las Vegas as its venue to exhibit, as well as support  its annual membership and board meetings.

UASG serves vehicle, fleet, promotional, architectural and outdoor advertising graphics installers who meet the organization’s professional standards.

The board meeting is scheduled from 4-8 p.m., Oct. 29, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the general membership meeting is set for 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Oct. 31, at the Treasure Island Caribbean Room (rooms B and C).

Wrap demos on a Scion FR-S will be done during the show at the group’s island-exhibit space at the convention center. UASG’s board of directors, along with representatives from 3M and Toyota, selected the top four designs presented during a wrap contest held this summer.

The standards group works in concert with 3M’s Certified Graphic Installation program, and employs 3M’s St. Paul, Minn., facility for training and testing.

“The criteria include a high level of professionalism, a proven track record and a high level of hands-on installation skill,” the group’s website notes.
