Vehicle Graphics Maker Offers Several Installation Workshops

May 2, 2013

Mentor, Ohio-based Avery Dennison Graphics will host seven more installation classes this year. One Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping class was already held April 15.

Justin Pate, an Avery Dennison-certified installer, teaches the one-day workshops, which are open to students with immediate to advanced skills. Each workshop hosts a maximum of 15 students. Topics covered include: how to section film economically; how to wrap door handles, mirrors and compound curves; and how to print and sell wraps.

“Wrapping a vehicle with an opaque film that has one color and finish is more involved and detail oriented than installing a digitally printed wrap,” Pate said. “An installer needs to have a thorough understanding of how each type of film behaves and a high skill level in order to achieve professional results.”

Available class dates  are: June 6 at Proveer in York, Ontario, Canada; June 8 at Sign Warehouse in Denison, Texas; June 13 at BR Wraps in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada;  Sept. 19 at Restylers in Cincinnati, Ohio;  Oct. 21 at Grimco in Pompano Beach, Fla. and Nov. 11 at RCR in Welcome, N.C.

The May 29 workshop at Printed Pixel in South Amboy, N.J., is already sold out, but additional dates may be announced, according to Avery Dennison.
