Westin Automotive Products, a manufacturer of truck and accessories, relocated its engineering research and development facility to San Dimas, Calif.
The new 10,000 square-foot facility houses a full-time staff of 12 engineers, technicians and CAD specialists. It features state-of-the-art equipment such as stress-analysis software and gear for prototyping hard part samples, according to Westin.
Westin’s R&D facility is a cornerstone of the company’s operating model, which is strictly followed so that all products are conceived, designed, developed, tested and quality controlled in the U.S., according to the company.
All product prototypes and production samples are test-fitted on actual new vehicles in the R&D facility prior to being released.
