Steele Rubber Products, a maker of weatherstripping for windshields, doors, windows, hoods and trunks, will present a free educational seminar on the proper installation of weatherstripping and rubber seals at the Hotrod & Restoration and Restyling & Truck Accessories Trade Shows in March.
“We really try to let the attendees lead the discussion, so it becomes very much like a Q&A, because for most car restorers and shops, installing weatherstripping is not something they do on a regular basis,” said Eric Saltrick, , the vice president of marketing at Steele Rubber. “There are a lot of little tips that our staff who happen to have does this for decades, can provide.”
The one-hour presentation, which will be led by Steele Rubber President Matt Heosta will include tips and tricks from experts; information on how to select and find the right parts; and insight into how Steele Rubber selects which parts to develop, according to Saltrick.
Saltrick said the company strives to make the presentation as interactive as possible. All the essential install tools such as Silly Putty and Sharpies will be provided to attendees at the end of the program, he said.
“One of the most important tools to have in your toolbox is Silly Putty, but you have to come to the seminar to find out why, Saltrick said.
The Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show and the Restyling and Truck Accessories Trade Show will both be held March 26-28, 2014, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Each show will offer attendees three days of education and two days of exhibits, along with live demonstrations, featured vehicles and a variety of special activities.
Steele Rubber’s educational seminar is set for 10-11 a.m. on March 26.
