Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) visited Kee Auto Top Manufacturing Co. to talk with employees as well as tour Kee’s manufacturing facility.
Burr is the Senate co-chair of the SEMA-supported Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus, according to a press release. For the past five years, he has served as the co-sponsor of the Senate resolution designating the second Friday in July as National Collector Car Appreciation Day.
After the facility tour, Burr spent time talking with Kee employees regarding the industry, its future and some of the issues he is working on in Washington, the release noted.
“We feel the visit was beneficial, and a success,” said Kee’s Karen Evans St. John. “We would like to thank Sen. Burr for his time and continued support of the collector car hobby.”
The company is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
