Rugged Ridge, a division of OMIX-ADA based in Suwanee, Ga., is sponsoring Amazon Automotive’s first vehicle giveaway. The contribution is a part of a three-vehicle giveaway from OMIX-ADA in celebration of its 20th anniversary, according to Henk Van Dongen, director of marketing for the company.
Dubbed as the “Orange Crusher,” the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited built by Rugged Ridge for Amazon’s giveaway is valued at $45,531. According to Amazon, the vehicle includes Rugged Ridge alloy wheels, a cat-back duel exhaust system, skid plates, 4-inch ORV lift kit, XHD snorkel system, XHD modular bumpers, 7-inch HID light kit, and 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires.
The vehicle was intended to reflect meaning behind the Internet retailer’s name, which represents the world’s largest river. Equipped for offroad exploration and trekking, the orange color was chosen to complement Amazon’s color scheme, according to Van Dongen.
Each Jeep Wrangler offered in OMIX-ADA’s three giveaways feature a different style, Van Dongen said.
“We wanted to make sure that the three different Jeeps that we are giving away did not have a cookie cutter look and feel,” he said.
OMIX-ADA chose Amazon for its vehicle giveaway because it wanted to support its key partners, and Amazon is one of its largest customers.
“We wanted to do something for our key partners,” Van Dongen said. “Amazon is really showcasing a lot of our products, and they are utilizing this giveaway to show their customer file that they are in the Jeep accessory business and make more people aware that their automotive sector is growing.”
In addition to the sweepstakes, Amazon is offering Jeep accessory brands such as Rugged Ridge, Warn and Bestop at discounted prices.
