Irvine, Calif.-based Roland DGA Corp. announced major changes to its executive management team, including the naming of a new president, the promotion of the company’s current president and an expanded international role with parent company Roland DG of Hamamatsu, Japan.
Rick Scrimger, formerly vice president of sales and marketing of Roland DGA, will replace Dave Goward, current Roland DGA president, who has been appointed as president of worldwide sales and as an executive officer for Roland DG.
The executive management changes within the U.S.-based Roland DGA reflect larger organizational changes as Roland DG embarks on a new Global One initiative designed to strengthen the corporation’s leadership positions in the markets it serves around the world, according to a company press release.
“These are exciting times at Roland and I am honored to serve as president of worldwide sales,” Goward said. “As the entire Roland DG organization embarks on its Global One initiative, we are enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead.”
Goward will take on his new role Jan. 1, 2013, but continues working as CEO of Roland DGA through the remainder of 2012. As the new president of Roland DGA, Scrimger will be responsible for the management of the company and provide the product development team with critical market insight.
With more than 30 years of senior level management experience, including 18 years with Roland DGA, Goward has been instrumental in developing the company’s sales, service and distribution organizations. Scrimger has 20 years of experience in product management, and marketing and sales, including 15 years with Roland DGA.
