The car show brought a crowd of more than 300 retailers and car enthusiasts to view more than 100 custom cars. Many retailers traveled from outside of the area, including from as far away as the east coast of Florida and southern Georgia.
“The retailers at the training were able to hear us talk about Rockford’s new products, how to sell these products to their customers, and how to create and live the Rockford culture that our brand represents,” said Zach Luke, regional sales manager for Rockford Fosgate. “Better yet, they were able to take what they just heard in the training out to the ‘Rock Party,’ and experience the products and the Rockford culture that we believe is so important to our brand. It was a great experience to combine a training with a car audio enthusiast party atmosphere.”
Added Mike Barcia, DOW 12-volt strategic sales manager, “The ‘Rock Party’ was an even bigger and better success than we could have expected. This event showed the passion and excitement that car audio retailers have for the industry, and we are glad to have been able to give them a place to come together and show it. Together with Rockford Fosgate, we were able to put on a first class event that retailers enjoyed and were able to take something away from-¦be it new products, new ideas, or new connections.”
Additional support for the event was provided by Sony, Kenwood, AudioControl, Hushmat, and Powerall. Representatives from each of the manufacturers were on site during the event to provide information about new products and answer any questions that retailers had.
“Vendor support is key for an event like this,” said Dave Elkin, vice president of sales for DOW Electronics. “Our vendor partners really stepped up to make the Rock Party an absolute success.”
