Restyling hires new editor, Farb retires

Equipped with years of reporting experience and an appreciation for the automotive aftermarket, Anthony Bowe has taken on the task of replacing departing Restyling Editor Alan Farb.

Bowe, the former staff writer for Restyling sister publication RV PRO magazine, said he has “big shoes to fill” as Farb transitions into retirement after leading the magazine for five years.

“Alan has really set a nice precedent for Restyling. I look forward to continuing his vision as well as implementing my own,” said Bowe, who offered in-depth business-to-business coverage of the RV market for more than a year and a half at RV PRO before joining the Restyling team.

A 2009 graduate from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in news-editorial journalism, Bowe completed internships at The Greeley Tribune, Loveland Reporter-Herald and The Denver Post during his undergraduate career. He also served on the Op-Ed desk at The Washington Times and as a political reporter for The Colorado Statesman before finding a home at National Business Media.

“At RV PRO, I really enjoyed the opportunity to do a little bit of everything: photography, editing and reporting,” he said. “My primary goal is to help the restyling and aftermarket industry by providing the most up-to-date news and information that business owners and jobbers can use.”

Entering his new position, Bowe is excited to learn the ins-and-outs of the restyling market, build even more relationships and contacts, and continue to provide quality work and products.

“I’m looking forward to learning first-hand what restylers and upfitters care about and do professionally on a day-to-day basis. I take a lot of interest in how people run their businesses and things they do to grow,” Bowe said.

Jef White, Restyling’s former editor, who was recently named executive editor of Restyling and Performance Business magazines, will partner with Bowe to maintain the publication’s precise coverage of the aftermarket accessories industry.

A Colorado native, Bowe is the proud owner of an ’88 Toyota pickup and likes to follow all the local major sports teams, especially the Denver Broncos. He got married in 2012, and enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Jenny.
