Minneapolis-based Hauler Racks Inc., a manufacturer of commercial and lifestyle racks for trucks, campers and vans has experienced double-digit sales increase as the peak of summer rack season approaches, according to the company.
“Sales are up 20 percent from last year,” said Jeff Thiessen, vice president of Geneva Group, Hauler Rack’s parent company. “The volume of calls is increasing dramatically as we are coming into rack season.”
Hauler Racks’ sales were up about 20 percent last year compared to 2011, and Thiessen expects to outperform that this year. The company’s sales have steadily risen for three straight years. Rack season typically commences and in April and runs through the summer months, he said.
Hauler Racks attributes its recent success to increased pickup sales and the strengthened construction market. Thiessen expects Hauler Racks to exceed its 20 percent increase by the end of the summer.
