Quarter Mile Foundation Prepares for Bob Vandergriff Roast

Nov 28, 2016

The Quarter Mile Foundation has adjusted the ticket pricing for its upcoming roast of Bob Vandergriff, Sr.

Hustling a Husler- A Roast and Toast of Bob Vandergriff, Sr., presented by Hedman Performance Group and the Quarter Mile Foundation is set for Dec. 8 after the opening day of the PRI Show.

Foundation Chairman Traci Hrudka said the prices have been lowered from the previously announced levels.

“With the Christmas holiday season, the close proximity of the SEMA and the PRI Shows and the close of most people’s 2016 budgets, we wanted to make the pricing more attractive for folks to come and enjoy the event as we pay tribute to Bob,” Hrudka said. “We have adjusted pricing to make it easier on attendees’ budgets. Individual seat tickets are now priced at $80 (originally $120) and the VIP tables are priced at $1,500 (originally $2,500).”

The new pricing is already reflected on the online ticketing site. Tickets must be presented at check-in outside the ballroom in order to enter the event.

Roast Panelists Named

All of the roast panelists have a long personal or professional relationship with Vandergriff. Joining Master of Ceremonies Rick Rollins on stage will be panelists Judy “Miss Mighty Mopar” Lilly, Sid Waterman of Waterman Racing Components, Dick Maskin of Dart Machinery, Paul Smith of Paul Smith Racing, and Ron Funfar, president of the Hedman Manufacturing.

The event is set to begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception in the second-floor Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown (350 West Maryland St.), directly across from the Indiana Convention Center. The cocktail reception will be followed by a Beef and Salmon Duet dinner at 7 p.m., with the roast and live auction starting at 8 p.m. Dress for the event is business casual/semi-formal, and booth apparel will be very acceptable.

The evening will feature a live auction of memorabilia from the stage, plus a silent auction.

The event will offer complimentary coat check to attendees for the evening, according to event organizers. Additionally, there will be affordable cab service to outlying hotels (within a three-mile radius of the Hotel/Convention Center) provided by Yellow Cab, with a $5.00 fare (negotiated by the Performance Racing Industry Show management).
