PHOTOS: Barrett-Jackson Hits $100 Million Mark in Latest Sale

Barrett-Jackson kicked off its 45th anniversary year by achieving record car sales and charity auctions in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to the company.

During the event, 1,469 vehicles sold for over $102 million (unaudited) at a 99-percent sell-through rate. Over 1,400 pieces of automobilia sold for nearly $3 million (unaudited), bringing the total sales to over $105 million. Approximately 350,000 people attended the 45th Anniversary Auction.

The top cars sold in the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction include:

  • “Serial One Corvettes,”-a 1955, 1956 and 1957 “serial one” convertible corvettes-sold together for $1.82 million
  • 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach sold for $1.76 million
  • 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K “Cabriolet A” Body Conversion sold for $1.49 million
  • 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster CSX2495 sold for $797,500
  • 1947 Talbot-Lago T-26 Worblaufen Cabriolet sold for $715,000
  • 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible sold for $577,500
  • 1939 Talbot-Lago T-15 Cabriolet sold for $550,000
  • 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am “Smokey and the Bandit” Promo Car sold for$550,000
  • 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible #300 sold for $533,500
  • 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition sold for $522,500

Once again, charitable giving was a significant part of the auction action as 11 vehicles crossed the Scottsdale block, including the 2017 Acura NSX VIN No. 001. They cumulatively raised $3.4 million to benefit local and national nonprofit organizations, according to Barrett-Jackson.

The charity cars auctioned included:

  • 2017 Acura NSX VIN No. 001 to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground sold for $1.2 million
  • 2016 Ford Focus RS donated by Ford for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation sold for $550,000
  • 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS VIN No. 001 donated by GM to benefit Kettering University sold $500,000
  • 2016 Chevrolet Camaro COPO GEN 6 VIN No. 001 donated by GM to benefit United Way sold for $300,000
  • 2000 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Truck donated by Ford to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society sold for $200,000
  • 2012 Dodge Charger NASCAR Racecar to benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America sold for $150,000
  • 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Military Tribute to benefit the Stephen Siller Foundation sold for $125,000
  • 1932 Ford Hi-Boy to benefit the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts sold for $105,000
  • 2008 Mckinney Top Fuel Dragster to benefit B.R.A.K.E.S. Foundation sold for $100,000
  • 2015 JEEP Wrangler Custom to benefit CHILDHELP through SEMA Cares sold for $81,000
  • 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28  to benefit The Barrett-Jackson Cancer Fund At TGen In Memory of Russ and Brian Jackson sold for $75,000
