People Love McLeod’s Flathead Coupe

Apr 16, 2014

The McLeod Flathead Coupe earned the People’s Choice Award at the 25th Annual Spring Daytona Turkey Run Show.

The coupe is a 1929 Ford Model A with a 1953 Mercury Flathead mated to a T-5 from a 1993 Ford Mustang. A McLeod Street Pro clutch kit, steel flywheel, hydraulic throw-out bearing and Slik Stik shifter get the power to the ground in a street-friendly way, according to a press release.

“It was an awesome feeling to receive an award that is voted on by my peers and other car enthusiasts,” says Brian Lee, car owner and builder, “I never had any intention, when I was designing and building this car, for it to be a show car. It was built from the ground up to be a driver and to be driven hard! That’s why I chose to use McLeod products, because of their high quality. It’s incredible to get this award at such a prestigious show as Daytona.”

The award was voted on by car enthusiasts attending the show.

“We are always humbled when cars with our products are recognized by others in such a big way,” says Paul Lee, NHRA Funny Car driver and McLeod Racing owner. “This award just shows that our dedication to quality and innovative products doesn’t go unnoticed.”
