Aug 7, 2012

The automotive improvement series Motorz can now be seen on The Auto Channel at 8 p.m. Wednesdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays.

The Auto Channel currently reaches more than 6 million television households in southern Florida and is broadcast in high definition via free over-the-air networks as well as Dish Network, DirecTV, Comcast and AT&T U-Verse, according to a press release.

“We are pleased to add the Motorz automotive improvement series to our channel lineup,” said Marc Rauch, executive vice president, The Auto Channel. “We believe that Chris Duke is truly a rising star in the automotive world. Motorz combines top-shelf production with a real downhome feel that we know our viewers are going to love.”

Produced in a home garage environment, Motorz shows viewers how to properly maintain a vehicle and install aftermarket accessories with step-by-step instructions in an entertaining “you can do it, too” format.

“The Auto Channel is a perfect fit for Motorz,” stated Duke, executive producer and host. “Enthusiasts have relied on The Auto Channel for in-depth industry coverage for more than 15 years and the popularity of TheAutoChannel.com is widely known. With the launch of their broadcast television network in June this year in conjunction with the WHDT family of television stations, The Auto Channel has taken another step toward a full-time automotive television network and it’s exciting for Motorz to be a part of it.”

TheAutoChannel.com contains more than 1 million pages of content covering 20 subject areas, and thousands of video and audio files, according to the release.
