Proforged, based in Wayne, New Jersey, designs and manufacturers “severe duty” chassis parts for cars and trucks. Their products are designed using the latest CAD programs and prototypes are validated through hardness testing, microstructure analysis, surface finish examination and roundness testing. They ensure application suitability through extensive tensile and elasticity strength testing, stud pullout testing, stud impact testing, salt spray tests, and cycle testing for durability.
Proforged ball joints feature an improved design for increased longevity and durability, even in the most demanding conditions. Housings are forged from SAE1045 steel with a forged 4140 chrome moly ball stud yields incredible strength and toughness. The ring retained accordion-style heavy duty rubber boot seals out all contaminants. All fit surfaces are CNC-milled. The tall stud ball joint corrects the camber issues on early muscle cars to maximize the tire contact patch and correct poor handling.
The Proforged Chassis Parts lineup includes ball joints, center links and drag links, idler arms and pitman arms, tie rod ends, billet aluminum tie rod sleeves, control arm assemblies and more.
