Jan 3, 2014

NAV-TV Corp., a manufacturer of OEM video integration systems based in Coral Springs, Fla., has hired mobile electronics industry veterans Calvin Thomas and Ward Benjamin.

Thomas will work with NAV-TV’s product development team to help identify and create cutting-edge integration solutions, while Benjamin will be responsible for territory sales management, technical support and product training, according to the company.

“In order to provide NAV-TV dealers with the best products and support possible, we actively sought out industry veterans that know the industry, know the products, know the clients and know the limitations and challenges they face,” said Derek Schmiedl, vice president of NAV-TV.  “With over 50 years in the 12-volt (mobile electronics) industry between them, we are confident that Ward and Calvin are the right additions to our already strong team and look forward to the unlimited possibilities in 2014."

Benjamin has 31 years of experience in manufacturing, technical support, sales, installation, training and management. He has held technical support and sales positions for companies including JL Audio and Boston Acoustics, according to NAV-TV.

Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in mobile electronics as an installation technician and fabricator. Most recently, Calvin worked with master fabricator Chris Yato at Five Axis, where he honed his fabrication skills. Thomas has built numerous demo vehicles for manufacturers over the years, as well as World Champion IASCA SQ vehicles.
