Tracy Muchler, a racer from Grass Lake, Mich., was named the winner of Wheat Ridge, Colo.-based Engine Pro’s drawing for a new race engine provided by Engine Pro and Pro-Filer Performance Parts.
The sixth annual drawing took place at the Funny Car Nationals on Sept. 7 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Mich., according to Engine Pro.
“Engine Pro’s annual engine giveaway is a great way to help the racers, support a local track and provides manufacturers with a way to support auto racing at the grassroots level,” said Scott Overlund, sales and marketing manager for Engine Pro/Perfit.
The engine, valued at $20,000, was assembled by Performance Engineering with parts and services supplied by Pro-Filer, Melling Performance, Hastings Racing, Oliver Racing Parts, Ferrea, COMP Cams, JE Pistons, MAHLE Clevite, Fel-Pro, Milodon, R & R Wireloom and Pro Finishing.
Racers earned their way into the drawing by being in the top-10 in points standings in two racing classes. The three other racers who also won prizes contributed by the sponsors were Rusty Baad, Kevin Groenveld and David Marckini, the company noted.
