Michigan Man Wins $20,000 Race Engine

Rick Morley of Allendale, Mich., won a $20,000 race engine at the Fifth Annual Engine Pro/Dart/Performance Engineering Engine Giveaway.

Held at the Funny Car Nationals event at US 131 Motorsports Park, runner-up Jim Sebright of Holland, Mich., won an intake manifold courtesy of Profiler Performance. Kalamazoo driver Christine VaderSloot walked away with a six-switch panel with pigtails courtesy of R&R Wire Loom, and Mark Boardman won powder-coated valve covers from Pro Finish Powder Coating.

Other participating sponsors of the engine giveaway included Melling Engine Parts, Hastings Manufacturing and AERA. Manufacturers such as Icon forged Pistons, Comp Cams and Ferrea Racing Components also contributed parts for the engine.
