Meyer Distributing Adds Georgia Cross-Dock

Jun 3, 2014

Meyer Distributing Inc., an automotive specialty products marketing and distribution company, has opened a new location in Valdosta, Ga.

“We have worked diligently to grow our exhaust business in the past year,” said Adam Freyberger, undercar category purchasing manager for Meyer. “Our stock levels are increasing rapidly, and we are adding new customers every day. The Georgia and Florida markets are two focus areas for Meyer in the undercar category.”

The cross-dock will have a direct feed from Meyer’s Jasper, Ind., distribution hub, which houses one of the largest inventories of automotive accessories in the nation, according to the company.

“The Valdosta cross-dock will greatly enhance service to one of the few areas that didn’t have next-day delivery from our Jasper core,” said Jeff Braun, CFO of Meyer. “Cities in Georgia like Valdosta, Brunswick, and Albany, and cities in Florida like Jacksonville and Tallahassee, will see four-times-a-week next-day service.”
