The Marx Group, a marketing and communications firm serving the automotive aftermarket, has hired Tim Sayers as an account executive and product and market specialist.
“The geographic location of our client base has greatly expanded in the last five years,” said Tom Marx, president and CEO of The Marx Group, which is based in San Rafael, Calif. “The addition of Tim to our team provides us with greater access to our clients in the Southeast, Midwest and East Coast regions. The Southeast has experienced substantial growth in the automotive industry over the last decade, and we expect that growth to continue.”
Sayers has more than 30 years of diverse automotive experience working in the OE replacement, OE service, high-performance, emission control, heavy duty and specialty segments, according to The Marx Group. He has worked with all levels of individuals in the automotive aftermarket from repair shop owners and technicians to wholesale and retail parts distributors and manufacturers. Sayers possesses a unique blend of knowledge and experience with successful marketing, advertising and public relations strategies and tactics that will benefit clients
“He’s a car guy who thoroughly understands the products and markets we serve in the aftermarket,” Marx said.
Sayers most recently served as marketing manager for IMCO and Cherry Bomb Exhaust in Loudon, Tenn., where he was responsible for product management and marketing in the U.S. and Canada, according to The Marx Group.
