Legendary Car Builder to Promote D.A.R.E. Program at Champion’s SEMA Booth

Legendary car builder Sonny Croughn has been dazzling the hot rod circuit with award winning projects since 1962.

Croughn will make scheduled appearances at the Champion booth during the SEMA Show (Booth No. 24223) in an effort to bring awareness to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program. The SEMA Show is set for Oct. 31 through Nov. 3 in Las Vegas.

This year, millions of school children around the world will benefit from D.A.R.E., the program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence, according to Champion. D.A.R.E. was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles and has proven so successful that it is now being implemented in 75 percent of the nation’s school districts and in more than 43 countries around the world.

D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.
