Last Chance: SEMA Feature Vehicle Deadline Nearing

Jul 26, 2016

The deadline to apply for a feature vehicle at the 2016 SEMA Show is Monday, Aug. 1. The show is set for Nov. 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

This year’s feature vehicle deadline is several weeks earlier than it has been in the past. The earlier date is designed to allow exhibitors ample time to choose the best car to represent their brand at the show and promote its appearance appropriately, according to SEMA.

Feature Vehicle Criteria

All feature vehicles must be approved and paid for by qualified exhibiting companies. Criteria for placement is based on how the exhibiting company’s products are showcased on the vehicle, whether the car has been featured in the SEMA Show previously, how complete the vehicle build is, and to what degree the vehicle captures all elements of the specialty-equipment market, according to SEMA.

Feature Vehicle Qualification

Each qualified exhibiting company is guaranteed placement for only one feature vehicle, according to SEMA. Additional vehicles only will be allowed if space availability permits. Those with more than one feature vehicle already submitted will receive an email on Aug. 2 asking to prioritize the vehicles in order of importance. Exhibitors will be notified of their feature vehicle application status on or before Aug. 19.
