KMC Wheels, a designer and manufacturer of aftermarket wheels based in Cerritos, Calif., will help sponsor Austin Dyne for his 2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East campaign with Turner Scott Motorsports.
Dyne finished in eighth place in the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and was named Rookie of the Year. He has moved east to join Turner Scott Motorsports for a full-time campaign in 2013, according to a press release.
“Supporting emerging drivers in motorsports is a core value for us at KMC Wheels,” said Rhett Sander, KMC Wheels marketing director. “We look forward to working with Austin as he continues to progress through the ranks.”
Dyne, a native of southern California, scored his first formula car victory in the Skip Barber Eastern Championship at Lime Rock Park in 2010. Dyne advanced to stock cars, competing in S2 and Late Models at California’s Irwindale Speedway in 2011. His move to the K&N Pro Series East will put him head-to-head with some of the best development teams in NASCAR, the release noted.
“I am very thankful for the support of KMC Wheels, and I am glad to be associated with such a great company,” Dyne said. “With a great sponsor on board, and my solid team at Turner Scott Motorsports, I think we have everything lined up this year to have a very successful season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.”
In addition to supporting other racers in off-road, dirt track and motocross competitions, KMC Wheels also backs Travis Pastrana. The action sport superstar turned racer competes full-time in the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series and makes in the Global Rallycross Championship.
KMC Wheels is a Wheel Pros brand.
