Now on video: King Engine Bearing’s material selection presentation.
The high-performance engine bearings company has released the video of its standing room-only technical seminar conducted at the 2010 PRI Show in Orlando by Dmitri Kopeliovich, King’s research and development manager.
“Engine Bearing Material Selection” is a nearly 50-minute presentation that is now available to view free-of-charge at www.kingbearings.com/tech_materials.php.
As Kopeliovich pointed out at the seminar, although engine bearings are small and relatively inexpensive, they are “definitely not simple,” according to a press release.
The presentation may be of particular interest to engine builders and race teams wanting to gain an in-depth understanding of engine bearing properties, engine bearing materials structure, composition, characteristics and applications. The seminar also examines how engine parameters affect bearings operation, how to test engine bearing materials and the causes of engine bearing failures.
Dr. Kopeliovich earned his doctorate degree in materials engineering and serves as the manager and team leader of King’s advanced materials research and development unit. The company offer an extensive line of high-performance engine bearings for circle track, drag racing, monster trucks, tractor pulls, off-road and off-shore racing applications.
