JE Pistons Establishes Midwest Manufacturing

Apr 5, 2012

JE Pistons, Huntington Beach, Calif., has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to the Midwest.

A Performance Motorsports Inc. (PMi) company, JE Pistons has been a leader in high-performance forged pistons for professional engine builders, race teams and enthusiasts for more than 60 years, according to a press release.

The new Midwest manufacturing facility will allow the company to offer reduced delivery lead-times and lower shipping costs for many customers, and is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2012.

“JE Pistons is a responsive company that makes it a priority to take care of its customer needs at a crucial time in the industry,” said Bob Hange, PMi president. “We are dedicated to taking advantage of the strengths and capabilities within our global PMi parent company to provide customers with the highest-quality products at a cost they can afford. This expanded piston manufacturing capability represents PMi’s commitment to increase support and service to performance customers.”

The move also allows JE Pistons to introduce enhanced coating options that have become an important feature for customers, the company noted. Meanwhile, order placement, customer service and technical support will continue to be handled through the company’s Huntington Beach location.

PMi sells pistons and other engine-related components into the motorsports and powersports markets. Its brands include Wiseco Performance Products, ProX Racing Parts, JE Pistons, K1 Technologies and Innovate Motorsports.
