The fourth annual 2010 Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance will present Mike Jackson with the event’s Automotive Lifetime Achievement Award during the black tie-optional gala set for February at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Fla.
“Each year, the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance honors an automotive industry leader for their dedication to the automobile world and automotive business endeavors,” said Rick Case, founder of the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance. “Fittingly this year, Mike Jackson, known for his decades of commitment in the automotive business arena as well as his media-appointed role as national spokesperson for all of the auto dealers nationwide, has been chosen.”
Jackson spent more than 10 years as CEO of AutoNation, the country’s largest auto retailer. Earlier, he served as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz U.S.
“Most people know that Mike Jackson is a prime example of a successful leader in the auto business industry,” said Jamie McDonnell, chairman of Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance. “But what some may not know is that his success translates into a tremendous reputation nationwide. Even leading competitive dealers rave positive remarks about Mike’s relentless commitment to bettering the automotive industry and supporting local dealers and their endeavors. It is because of this and so much more that we are pleased to honor Mike Jackson with the Lifetime Automotive Achievement Award.”
The event is an annual three-day celebration of rare and exotic vehicles.
