Industry product training center offers Web-based education to resellers

Dec 11, 2012

The Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) and the SEMA Education Institute (SEI) launched the SEMA Product Training Center, a new program that allows manufacturers to provide product training to hundreds or even thousands of resellers throughout the industry.

According to SEMA News, LTAA helped develop the affordable Web-based training solution to complement each manufacturer’s existing training. Companies may purchase 15- or 30-minute online training modules, which will be produced by eLearning consultant Ability Performance Solutions from content supplied by the manufacturers with the salesperson in mind.

The training modules are available to resellers at no cost and will be housed on SEI’s learning management system. Employees’ progress and product knowledge will also be tracked, and for every completed product training module, a certificate of completion will be emailed to the participant.

Participating manufacturers include Hella, Truxedo, Hellwig and Bully Dog.
