Hypermax Dragster Sets NHRDA Record

Nov 1, 2012

The Hypermax Diesel Dragster set the NHRDA Top Dragster record in the World Finals at Texas Motorplex in October.

The 212 mph at 6.79 seconds record backed up the 216 mph at 6.69 seconds run set earlier in the event, stated a Hypermax press release. Top alcohol dragster driver Marty Thacker was behind the wheel, and power was supplied by a three-turbocharger Hypermax-manufactured DT466 tractor pull diesel engine.

Headquartered in Gilberts, Ill., Hypermax Engineering manufactures high-output diesel engines and components including turboxchargers and fuel injection systems for International Harvester tractor pulling machines, and Ford/Navistar diesel trucks for competition and road use.
