Holley EFI Named Title-Rights Sponsor of Outlaw Street Car Reunion V

Holley EFI has been named title-rights Sponsor for Outlaw Street Car Reunion V, which is set for April 18-22, 2018 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Holley’s hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The five-day extravaganza, previously staged at Memphis International Raceway, features some of the wildest, most exciting cars in all of drag racing.

“Outlaw-style racing is hot, and we want to support those racers and show them we appreciate their awesome machines and what they’re doing,” said Holley Director of Marketing Bill Tichenor. “With the Outlaw Street Car Reunion coming to our hometown, it makes perfect sense for us to sponsor it and help bring it to Beech Bend. We can’t wait for it to happen.”

Lyle Barnett, Brad Edwards, and Tony Alm, and many of the biggest stars of outlaw street car racing are set to attend. The first radial-specific race ever held at Beech Bend will be headlined by the Radial versus the World category, which pays $15,000 to the winner and features powerful 3,000-pound cars running 3.60s at more than 200 mph on the all-concrete eighth-mile course. Also featured will be the X275 Drag Radial category, which pays $10,000 to the winner; Limited Drag Radial, which features stock-appearing race cars that top 180 mph on the eighth-mile; and a host of sportsman classes for vehicles of every description.

“A lot of Holley EFI customers race small-tire radial cars,” said Robin Lawrence, Holley director of EFI business development. [Outlaw Street Car Reunion promoter] Tyler [Crossnoe] always puts on a great show and is one of the best track-prep guys out there, and we’ve enjoyed our involvement with the radial world and Donald Long’s races at Valdosta. This is another piece of that puzzle, and something we’re all really looking forward to.”
