Heading to Indy

Mar 3, 2015

THE SHOP SHOW takes place next week, March 13-14, at the Indiana Convention Center.

The name reflects the expanded reach of the show, including jobber shops that service all of the niche markets that are part of the automotive aftermarket-businesses that provide customers with products and services for custom-built hot rods, historical restorations, high-performance street rods, racing, off-road, restyling and truck accessories.

The show builds on previous advances in the automotive aftermarket, but looks toward future developments in technology that make the custom automotive business not just unique and challenging, but also exciting and rewarding.

THE SHOP SHOW is a focused business event, designed to allow shop owners rare opportunities to meet with manufacturers, see new product demonstrations and learn about the latest solutions in this ever-changing market-all of which is tailored to the business end of the business.

Among the educational and networking opportunities at this year’s show are two sessions intended to promote discussion and highlight the challenges running a quality shop, while being profitable and up-to-date.

On Friday, March 13, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Eric Saltrick of Steele Rubber Products will head up an industry panel, “The Next Big Thing: What is the Future of Hot Rodding,” exploring the future of the hot rod industry. He will be joined by representatives from Covercraft, Currie Enterprises, Motovicity Distribution, Gennie Shifters, and Motor State Distributing.

And on Saturday, March 14, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., editors of Performance & Hotrod Business and Restyling & Truck Accessories magazines will present the 2015 Business Roundtable. This session will give professionals the opportunity to share problem-solving techniques with other shop owners.

The dates for THE SHOP SHOW are March 13-14, 2015. The place is the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
