The 25th annual North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will take place Jan. 14-27 at Detroit’s Cobo Center with more than 50 worldwide and North American vehicle unveilings.
The show includes a Press Preview Jan. 14-15, an Industry Preview Jan. 16-17, a Charity Preview Jan 18 and a Public Show Jan. 19-27.
“This show is a reflection of the positive changes that are occurring in our industry,” said Jim Seavitt, chairman of 2013 NAIAS, in a press release. “Automakers from around the world continue to place NAIAS at the top of their global auto show strategies and have committed to more than 50 vehicle debuts with the majority being worldwide unveilings.”
The NAIAS expects more than 23,000 global automotive professionals representing nearly 2,000 companies to attend the Industry Preview. More than 6,000 journalists from around the globe are expected to attend the show; almost 40 official events are scheduled during the Press Preview.
Also, the North American Car and Truck of the Year will be announced at a news conference Jan. 14 during the Press Preview.
