Elgin Industries, one of North America’s leading manufacturers of original equipment and replacement engine and chassis components, recently opened a standalone product distribution facility in Elgin, Ill.
The new facility will serve the growing packaging, private label and specialized shipping requirements of aftermarket distributors and other customers served by the company. The new distribution facility also will enable Elgin to expand manufacturing operations at its state-of-the-art headquarters and production facility, according to a press release.
The company, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary, supports fully integrated engineering, manufacturing and heat treatment operations at its headquarters campus, according to Elgin Industries.
“We have experienced significant growth in our OE and aftermarket businesses, not only in product volume and variety, but also in the specialized packaging and logistics services we provide,” said Bill Skok, president of Elgin Industries. “Our physical expansion reflects the expanded value we offer our customers in North America and around the world.”
Elgin supplies OE engine and chassis components to organizations such as Chrysler, Deere & Co., Ford, General Motors, Harley-Davidson, Mack, and Navistar. The company also supplies replacement automotive and heavy-duty parts to distributors throughout the world.
